WELCOME TO PASSPORT
Protecting classroom instruction time along with school safety and security are key factors that led to the creation of PassPort. Every administrator, teacher, and parent wants to ensure their students are where they need to be and receiving support during the school day.
PassPort has packed a lot into a relatively young life. Since PassPort was founded in 2014, we’ve grown from an idea into a corporation. We manage student mobility. PassPort is a web based student management system that enables teachers and administrators to protect classroom instruction time. PassPort allows users to issue digital hall passes in order to monitor student movement throughout the school day - i.e., hall passes, trips to the Counseling Office, visits to the Nurse or Office, field trips, or club meetings. Schedules can be customized for the day and/or week to meet the school’s needs. Reports can be customized for an individual student, classroom, or school wide movement.
Who We Are
Building innovative products depends on innovative people that question the world we live in. We begin and end each day with thinking about how to improve PassPort so we can improve our schools. We are teachers trying to improve schools from the inside out. Find out more about what it’s like to work at PassPort, where we work and who drives our company strategy below.
Passport’s mission is to organize educational information and make it accessible and useful to our clients. The first step toward fulfilling that mission came when our founder, Lance Myhan, while working as a classroom teacher, developed a new approach to moving students in educational settings quickly spread to institutions around the globe. Passport LLC is the only company in the world that does what we do.
People make PassPort the kind of company it is. We hire people who are smart and determined, and we favor ability over experience. And when not at work, PassPorters pursue interests ranging from drinking coffee to Sci-Fi, from playing outside to blogging. Startups often have a quirky culture and we strive to maintain the openness in which everyone is a hands-on contributor and feels comfortable sharing ideas and opinions. PassPorters ask questions directly to the CEO about any number of company issues. We encourage interactions to spark conversations about work as well as play.
